1945 Willys MB military jeep
(Clear Louisiana Title)
"The mystery of the old 45 Willys MB" Here is a barn find gone wrong. I purchased this Jeep out of South Georgia four years ago. At that time, it was in great running order for a nearly 70 year old jeep. However, many of the original parts and handles were missing. After a little work and sanding, I found out that someone had used bondo to fill in all of the hardware holes all around the jeep. My theory is someone was restoring it and never finished the restoration for one reason or another. Whomever got the jeep next didn't like all of the holes and used bondo. After sanding the entire body, I found a beauty with all of the original holes and great sheet metal. There was minimal rust at the lower door areas..She now has 75 percent of the original parts, but still needs more time and money on it. She still runs great but will need someone knowledgeable to replace a broken gear in the tranny. The previous owner had issues with 3rd gear and I have since found broken teeth on one of the gears. This vehicle is a piece of Americana history and is 71 years old. I have more pictures available.
Price: $3800 OBO
