1942 Ford GPW Unrestored
with fully restored
1945 Converto dump trailer
I bought this Jeep for my father about 20 years ago. His WWII buddies are all gone and he is too old to enjoy it. When I bought it all of the original hydraulics and most if not all electrical needed replacement, but my goal has just been to keep it safe and reliable. Most paint is original. The block has a high quality, I believe period, weld. It is still 6 volt. The cushions finally just fell apart, and were replaced years ago. The summer top is also a replacement. It has a new production M31 pedestal with a DEWAT 1919A4, a DEWAT M1 Garand, a DEWAT M1A1 Thompson with leather sheath, and a DEWAT M1 Carbine with leather sheath, a NOS tool roll with tools, original First Aide kit, jack, pump, and some other odds and ends. Some of the underbody stiffeners had rusted through, but are stable, and the body is rock solid. The Airborne Converto Dump Trailer is completely restored, with a NOS trailer electrical package on the Jeep. It can be view by appt. at Lahm airport (KMFD) Mansfield, OH. Price is firm, and I will not piece it out.
