I came across this case of C Rations approximately 25 years ago. There were actually two cases. One case I opened up and checked out the contents, including the cigarettes. This one is not opened as evidenced by the intact baling wire intact. Note the date, lot #, and DSA. Of course we cannot know what the exact menu offerings are but we can make a good guess including everyone's favorites
turkey loaf, bonded chicken, pork steak, perhaps even spiced beef who knows???
Be the envy of that next static display, show, or diorama with your own unopened case of rations which will really compliment that vehicle. Commonly a case of rations was carried around on almost any vehicle. At the expense of stating the obvious, these are not believed to be edible at this point and are sold only as a collector's display piece and novelty with no food value whatsoever. I have been told similar era C Rations cases like this go around $750.00. I think that is a good place to start, or make me an offer! Thank you. Price does not include shipping and insurance, but will travel reasonable distance to make face to face deal.
