1953 M38A1 - Military Jeeps For Sale

1953 M38A1

Body completely removed from frame and EVERY square inch disassembled and sandblasted. We removed all old bondo, welded in new metal but had to replace front floor pan, and right fender. The frame was blasted, checked and repainted. Original engine, transmission and transfer case are rebuilt, new suspension, brakes, shocks, u-joints and all new mounting hardware. ANY broken body bolts were PERFECTLY removed with no helicoils anywhere, and all new stainless bolts installed. We have all new windshield rubber, glass (new spare glass still box as well), all new lights, horn, instruments, dash lighting, electric fuel pump, new carb, starter, distributer, water pump, coil, fuel tank, sending unit, gas gauge (that works!) windshield wipers, even a cigarette lighter, and all new wiring throughout. We painted the entire Jeep while disassembled with Olive Green Raptor Liner and underneath is complete coated in Herculiner. Custom bumpers and tow bar were on when we got it and they are STOUT. This Jeep is ready to go and if wanted is ready to be licensed for the street.

Fun note, we discovered that the Jeep has the frame mount for the 50 caliber machine gun. She was no base errand girl; she was a real combat fighting machine. We also discovered that she was commissioned in 1953 and recommissioned in 1961 before being sold to someone in Odessa Texas. This girl is not perfect, but she has earned every damn dent and imperfection and like any real soldier, you wear your wounds with pride.

We never had the intention of selling this or making it a perfect show Jeep, we just wanted it to be "Rust Cancer" free and perfectly ready to tear-up the back country and give this girl a new lease on life. We run a 501-c3 non-profit camp for abused children and were going to use the Jeep to give kids rides through the dry creeks beds while at camp. Covid-19 shut down camp down for over 2 years and we lost all of our funding and we are in need of money to get the camp back up and running. The purchase price of this vehicle qualifies as a charitable tax deduction and we can discuss that further in person.
