Long description
This 1951 Willys Jeep has been remanufactured to factory condition including panel alignment, exhaust system, upholstery, dash, audio trunk/box, and chassis plus new leaf springs for front and rear suspension. The paint and finish is olive green with no scratches or chips, also remanufactured to original. It has an 8 3/4" (22cm) ground clearance. The interior is steel with 2 leather seats. There is no evidence of abnormalities, and it is fully operational as a jeep. The .50-cal (12.7 mm) M2 Browning heavy machine gun, the M31 pedestal, a tubular pedestal with bracing in three directions is non-operational and swivels on a post between front seatbacks. With 31,653 produced was the most common factory jeep machine-gun mount during the war.

Powered by a 2.2L, (60 or 54 hp), V4 engine with 4x4, 3-speed x 2-range transfer case, it includes (16") off road mudders and a jerry can is mounted on the back for easy access to fill the 57L (15 US gal) tank. This 1951 Willys Jeep is appraised as excellent condition with documents to show a fair market value of $81,000 as of June 28, 2022.
Historically, only 132,000 Willy's Jeeps were made from 1949-1953 with 653,598 Military Jeeps made in total. This iconic vehicle of WWII had a reputation of toughness, durability and versatility and was the world's first mass-produced light four-wheel drive car.

1951 Willy's Jeep placed 48th in USA Corporations for the war built by Willy's, Ford, and American Bantom. American Motors Purchased Willy's in 1970. Renault purchased a major stake in 1979 then sold to Chrysler in 1986.
